Streamer Season Is Just Around the Bend

Streamer season is coming upon us quickly. If the water will cooperate and the temps will go down, we will be in the midst of my favorite time of the year to be on the water. We could use a good strong shad kill, but it is not a necessity for protein seeking fish. So, what is there to do while we are not on the water?

  1. Like those patterns a lot! Any idea on how the Center Hill Lake surface temp is doing? I'd love to see a good shad kill this winter as well but will be glad to throw streamers regardless. The fish in the east TN freestone streams are on streamers now and hopefully the tailwater fish are about ready as well!

  2. Hello David, I haven't heard the surface temps. But, with the lake level down to 625' and maybe less, the shad will not have as far to travel to the intake...

  3. OK, I've done some snooping online and found this. The water temperature is 54.0 degrees on the surface, 54.0 degrees at 10 feet.
